2019年BP碳排放量不降反增

據(jù)道瓊斯3月27日消息，英國(guó)石油公司(BP)周五表，盡管努力采取了減少空氣污染的措施，但公司去年的碳排放量卻出現(xiàn)增加，主要是由于業(yè)務(wù)并購(gòu)所導(dǎo)致的。

這家英國(guó)能源公司報(bào)告稱(chēng)，2019年運(yùn)營(yíng)活動(dòng)產(chǎn)生的溫室氣體直接排放量較上年同期增長(zhǎng)了0.82%。盡管如此，這還是比2015年下降了3.9%。

BP Reports Emissions Uptick Despite Efforts

BP PLC said Friday that emissions from its operations rose last year mainly due to acquisitions, despite efforts to cut to air pollution.

The British energy company reported direct greenhouse-gas emissions from operations rose 0.82% in 2019 from a year earlier. Still, that marked a 3.9% decline from 2015.

"Over time, as investment goes up in low- and no-carbon, we see it going down in oil and gas," BP said.

In February, the company became a rare example of an oil-and-gas major pledging to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 in line with the Paris Agreement.
