巴斯夫宣布稱美國TDI工廠遭遇不可抗力

據(jù)ICIS網(wǎng)站7月24日消息 巴斯夫公司發(fā)言人周五證實(shí)，巴斯夫已宣布其位于路易斯安那州蓋斯馬爾的甲苯二異氰酸酯（TDI）工廠遭遇不可抗力。

根據(jù)ICIS供需數(shù)據(jù)庫，該工廠的產(chǎn)能為16萬噸/年。

由于疫情爆發(fā)的經(jīng)濟(jì)影響導(dǎo)致TDI和下游聚氨酯系統(tǒng)的消費(fèi)減少，美國TDI供應(yīng)已足以滿足近幾個(gè)月的需求。

隨著汽車廠恢復(fù)生產(chǎn)，同時(shí)對(duì)家具和床上用品的需求開始接近危機(jī)前的水平，需求已開始從4月和5月的低點(diǎn)回升。

TDI主要用于生產(chǎn)聚氨酯（PU）軟泡，用于室內(nèi)裝潢、床墊和汽車座椅。

美國主要TDI生產(chǎn)商包括巴斯夫和科思創(chuàng)。

BASF declares force majeure from US TDI plant

BASF has declared force majeure from its toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant in Geismar, Louisiana, a company spokesperson confirmed on Friday.

The plant has a capacity of 160,000 tonnes/year, according to the ICIS Supply and Demand Database.

TDI supplies in the US have been sufficient to meet demand in recent months as the economic impacts of the coronavirus outbreak resulted in reduced consumption for TDI and downstream polyurethane systems.

Demand has started to pick up from the low points seen in April and May as automotive plants are resuming production while demand for furniture and bedding is starting to approach pre-crisis levels.

TDI is mainly used for the production of polyurethane (PU) flexible foams used in upholstery, mattresses and automotive seats.

Major US TDI producers include BASF and Covestro.
