現(xiàn)代三湖重工交付世界首艘LNG動(dòng)力超大型集裝箱船

據(jù)世界石油2020年9月17日首爾報(bào)道，韓國(guó)造船商現(xiàn)代三湖重工有限公司日前向新加坡東太平洋航運(yùn)有限公司交付了世界上第一艘用液化天然氣（LNG）驅(qū)動(dòng)的超大型集裝箱船。

眾所周知，航運(yùn)業(yè)一直面臨著減少碳排放的壓力，今年出臺(tái)了新的規(guī)定，要求減少船用燃料中的硫含量。

這反過(guò)來(lái)又刺激了油輪運(yùn)營(yíng)商和游輪對(duì)LNG作為船用燃料的需求。

這艘由LNG驅(qū)動(dòng)、長(zhǎng)366米、寬51米、可裝載14800個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)集裝箱的超大型集裝箱船是現(xiàn)代三湖重工有限公司時(shí)下正在建造的6艘超大型集裝箱船之一。

新加坡東太平洋航運(yùn)有限公司在2018年4月訂購(gòu)了這6艘超大型集裝箱船，這些超大型集裝箱船將于2022年第三季度前交付。

現(xiàn)代三湖重工有限公司是韓國(guó)造船與海上工程公司旗下的子公司。

Hyundai Samho delivers world's first LNG-powered very large container ship

South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co Ltd has delivered the world’s first very large container ship powered by LNG to Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte Ltd.

The shipping industry has been under pressure to reduce carbon emissions, introducing new rules this year to cut the sulphur content in marine, or bunker, fuels.

This in turn is prompting demand for LNG as a bunker fuel by tanker operators and cruise liners.

The LNG-powered, 14,800 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) container ship is one of six ships which Hyundai Samho is building.

They were ordered by the shipping company in April 2018 and will be delivered by the third quarter of 2022.

Hyundai Samho is a unit of Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co.
