清潔能源與亞馬遜合作開發(fā)負碳燃料

　　據4月19日offshore energy消息：美國替代燃料供應商清潔能源燃料和技術公司亞馬遜已簽署協議，提供低碳和負碳可再生天然氣(RNG)。

　　可再生天然氣(RNG)來源于有機廢物分解產生的生物甲烷。根據加州空氣資源委員會的數據，清潔能源通過銷售成功地將危害氣候的溫室氣體數量從60%減少到400%以上。

　　根據新協議，清潔能源將在其現有的27個加氣站提供RNG，并在年底之前再建設19個新的或升級的清潔能源加氣站。

　　這些加氣站將在美國15個不同州提供RNG。

　　清潔能源首席執(zhí)行官兼總裁安德魯·J·利特菲爾說：“如果世界真的要解決氣候變化問題，我們所有人都需要找到既環(huán)保又經濟的解決方案，而這正是這份協議所支持的?！痹摴驹?013年率先將RNG作為一種汽車燃料商業(yè)化，現在全國每天都有數萬輛汽車使用RNG。

　　此外，清潔能源還向亞馬遜發(fā)出認購權證，擬購買該公司高達5310萬股的股份。

　　Clean Energy and Amazon collaborate on carbon-negative fuel

　　U.S. alternative fuels supplier Clean Energy Fuels and technology company Amazon have signed an agreement to provide low and negative carbon renewable natural gas (RNG).

　　Renewable natural gas (RNG) is derived from biogenic methane produced by the breakdown of organic waste. Through its sales, Clean Energy managed to reduce the amount of climate-harming greenhouse gas from 60 per cent to over 400 per cent depending on the source of the RNG, according to the California Air Resources Board.

　　Under the new agreement, Clean Energy will be providing RNG at its 27 existing stations and another 19 new or upgraded Clean Energy-owned stations to be constructed by the end of the year.

　　These stations will provide this fuel in 15 different states in the U.S.

　　Andrew J. Littlefair, CEO and president of Clean Energy., said: “If the world is really going to tackle the issue of climate change, all of us need to find solutions that work both environmentally and economically, and that is exactly what this agreement supports. Clean Energy was the first to commercially make RNG available as a vehicle fuel in 2013 and now fuels tens of thousands of vehicles across the country every day.”
